South Haven

South Haven is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. Most of the city is in Van Buren County, although a small portion extends into Allegan County. Because of its position on Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Black River, South Haven has always been a port city.

Combining unspoiled beach beauty with old fashioned charm, South Haven offers an idyllic lakeside escape. In 1969 South Haven was crowned the World’s Blueberry Capital. This title is still held today.

Over the years great progress and prosperity have created a charming village that keeps one hand clasped onto yesteryear while the other stretches out to greet the future.

Here you’ll find a slower pace of life – a perfect place to enjoy family and loved ones, sunshine, and water, food, fun and relaxation. Our pristine beaches, bustling harbor, and quaint downtown are all within easy walking distance.

South Haven is a quaint port city located on beautiful Lake Michigan with many public parks & beaches. The Michigan Maritime Museum and the Center for the Arts are among the featured attractions.
